When you receive a new email, your iPad's default setting is for you to see two lines prior to opening it. You might want to see more than that. Navigate to Settings and select Mail. Select Contacts under Mail, then select Calendar to alter the options for additional lines in Preview mail. If you do not have a lot of time, you should never charge your iPad with your iPhone charger. The two devices both operate at different wattages - the iPhone at 5 watts and the iPad at 10 watts. And their chargers follow suit. Charging with the incorrect charger will delay the charge time. Instead, just use the charger that came with the iPad. Do you not like having Google set as the default search engine? If so, there is a way for you to change this. Visit your settings, pick "Safari," and then open up "Search Engine." You can then change your default search engine to Yahoo or Bing.

iPads are great for music, but are you familiar with podcasts? Podcasts are radio programs that last anywhere from two minutes to two hours, and they can be on all sorts of topics. If you do not want to listen to music anymore while commuting, try some podcasts. Since podcasts encompass a wide variety of topics, you're sure to find one which interests you. Create FaceTime phone contacts, as well as emails. The iPad, by default, includes the initial email you used for installation, but it is possible to add others. Go to the settings of your iPad and customize from there. You can access remote servers through a VPN network. The networking tab will have all of the options needed to configure a VPN and establish a connection with your preferred network. Next, you need to supply both username and server address. If you are unsure of your server address, contact your network administrator.

If you keep personal data in your tablet, it is critical you back it up for if you lose the tablet or someone steals it. Also, make sure your iPad is set to erase all the information in case anyone tries to get into it. Look for Password Lock in the Settings menu, and have it set to erase all data when your password is entered incorrectly 10 times. An alternative to charging your iPad in the front is to try putting the plug in the back if you are having trouble. Many front USB ports don't provide enough power to charge the iPad. The back ports tend to be higher powered. If you still have problems, you can purchase a USB adapter to be used with a standard wall socket. Turn down the brightness for extended battery life. This can give you the battery longevity that you require and need. To turn down screen brightness, try double-tapping your Home icon and looking for the sun icon.

Your iPad makes the process of taking screenshots really easy. Press down the Home button and then press the Sleep/Wake key. The screen will flash and you will hear a click. This means a photo has been taken. The screenshot is automatically saved in your Photos. Many people would rather not have the percentage of battery charge displayed on their screen constantly. Luckily, it is easily removed. Just go to settings, then click the general tab, and choose usage. Here you can disable it. Follow these steps if you later want to turn it back on. Using this advice can improve your iPad experience. Try to use your iPad every day, and your experience will be a lot better.
